About Reviving The Soul

Thank you for visiting RevivingTheSoul! My name is Craig Cooper. I’m a husband, father of four, healthcare IT recruiter, pastor and writer in the greater Nashville area.

Most importantly, I love Jesus.

Craig & Laura

When I was an 18-year-old college freshman on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, God captured my soul and transformed my life. Since then, I’ve devoted myself to God’s Word, to the building of his church, and to the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe the gospel is the best news in the entire world.

Hope Has Come

If you’re looking for hope, hope has come. Hope is a Person, and His Name is Jesus. God sent His Son Jesus to live the perfect life that we could never live and to die the cruel death under the wrath of God, on the cross of Calvary, so that through faith in him we could be forgiven of our sins and have eternal life.

That’s the good news of the gospel of God’s grace, and that good news is for you. Yes, even you! “For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” (Acts 2:39)

My desire is that you embrace the goodness of the gospel and encounter the riches of God’s grace through what you read on this site.

Why RevivingTheSoul?

The trouble is, life on this side of heaven is hard. And I’m convinced that we often live our lives more aware of our failures, faults, and frailties than we are of the faithfulness of God. So, I created RevivingTheSoul to offer encouragement, comfort, and strength for weary souls.

I hold a deep conviction that our souls are revived as we fix our eyes and hearts on Jesus, the light of the world.

I would be honored if you signed up for my email newsletter to receive notification of new posts by email. The link to sign up for our email newsletter is located on the front page of the blog.

I recently wrote a short eBook called When Age Meets Grace: What Thirty-Somethings Need to Hear. You don’t have to be in your thirties to benefit from the book. I simply wrote it from my perspective as a 38-year-old fighting the fight of faith in the throes of my thirties, though the principles apply to every season of life.

A Little About Our Family

My best friend and the greatest gift from God to me outside of my salvation is my incredible wife, Laura. We live in Franklin, TN (the greater Nashville area) where I have the privilege of helping plant Redeeming Grace Church (www.rgcnashville.com). Our children, Karis, Joshua, Charlotte, and Penelope keep us busy and grateful for the grace of God. We’re excited for you to join us in this journey of following Christ.

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13
